Associate, Financial Reporting

Position Overview
The Financial Reporting Associate will assist in the preparation of financial statements including quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K for various clients of the firm. Reporting to the Managing Director, the incumbent will also be involved in various analyses and special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Work closely with Managing Director to ensure financial reporting processes for the firm’s clients are in compliance with company policy, US GAAP and SEC requirements
• Assistance with the preparation of the quarterly 10-Q’s and annual 10-K and related analyses
• Work directly with external auditors to provide analysis and any required audit documentation necessary for the successful completion of any audit
• Assistance with complex U.S. GAAP areas, warrants, convertible notes, and OID
• Daily and monthly General Ledger responsibilities
• Special projects and ad hoc analysis and reporting

Education / Certifications
• BS/BA in Accounting and/or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant or parts passed of the CPA exam

Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year relevant work experience in accounting/finance; preferably public accounting audit experience
• Demonstrates strong analytical skills with a high level of competence and proficiency in financial reporting and/or financial analysis
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking and written/oral communication skills.
• High level of professional excellence characterized by sound judgment skills and drive for results
• Software skills: advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to handle dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Self-started, detail oriented
• Works effectively within a team environment
• Proven ability to handle confidential information and interact effectively with senior financial management.
